Chinese Lithium carbonate imports were down 12% in December
Chile was by far the largest exporter of Lithium carbonate to China, and the average export price to China was US$45,200/ton
China’s lithium carbonate imports in December were 10,900 tons, an increase of 50% YoY and a decrease of 12.37% MOM. China’s total annual lithium carbonate imports were 136,100 tons, an increase of 70% YoY, and the average monthly imports were 11,300 tons. In December, the average import price of lithium carbonate was $55,800/ton .
Chile and Argentina exports accounted for 99% of China’s imports
